930club:

JUST ANNOUNCED: 11.5.12
Datsik - Canadian Dubstep DJ not only making a splash in his genre, but also starting his own record label, Firepower Records, before embarking on their debut US tour.
Walk The Moon - After making a huge splash in our area at the 2011 Sweetlife Festival, the passionate, let’s face it cult-like following of Walk The Moon has been growing consistently. Signs of cult love: Face paint, dancing, smiles, and overall amazingly sunny disposition. JOIN US!
The Vaccines - After opening for bands like The Walkmen, The Stone Roses and Arctic Monkeys, the ultra buzzed about (and rightfully so) english rock outfit play their first headlining gig on our stage this February.
Corey Smith - Country music with a witty edge (listen to ‘Let Me Love You On A Backroad’ or ‘I Love Everyone’) and an always rip roaring whiskey tinged time at our club!
Kishi Bashi - Gaining our attention as support on our stage (as well as the attention of NPR), selling out a show at U Street Music Hall, and now FINALLY headlining 9:30…it’s basically a great music love story come to fruition. So ready to wrap ourselves in the warm blanket of his looping, swirling, magical sounds.
Coheed and Cambria - The sci-fi heavy prog rockers are ready to blow your faces off from our stage on the heels of their release of The Afterman: Ascension, the first part in a two part series. And what do you know! Part two is slated to drop in February!

MELANIE OMG LET’S GO SEE WALK THE MOOOOOOOON

i’m really drunk right now, okay? and i was sitting here with my beer bottle in my hand, and i was thinking, like. man, one time i sat on my couch with vnathatsme and drank a fucking 40 out of a paper bag back in college.
and then i was like, man, i wonder if i still have that picture. and my extra drive is being a twat so i can’t get into it and i’m like fuck you! because i need to show melanie, right? so i actually go and log in to MYSPACE (fucking myspace!) and get the picture.
now i’m sharing it with all of you. and i’m drunk. HOLLA!

I was tagged by sceaterian.

Rules:
Post the rules.
Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post and then make 11 new ones.
Tag 11 people and link them to your post. Let them know you have tagged them.
Tell the person who tagged you that you have answered.

  1. What is your oldest possession?
I have these super old framed photos on my nightstand - one of me with my parents when I was a baby, and one of my mom’s senior pictures.
  2. What do you like about yourself?
    Nothing.
  3. What scared you the most as a child?
    Fire.
  4. What is the ideal size for a picture? What did you think of at the word “picture” - photo, painting, animated gif?
I don’t think there’s an ideal size. I always think of 3x5s as “pictures” though. You know, the pictures you get printed at the photo kiosk or whatever.
  5. What did you eat today? Do you have any dietary restrictions or quirks?
All I’ve had so far (it’s only 10!) is a few sips of an Iced Venti Vanilla Skim Chai (DRINK OF CHOICE, at least until Pumpkin Spice time, when I’ll trade my vanilla for PS) from Starbucks. I got an apple fritter too, but I haven’t gotten around to it yet. Also I’m on a “soft food” diet for the next 10 days or so thanks to a TMJ Disorder. GOOD TIMES.
  6. What was your last painful experience?
My jaw hurt so fucking bad Tuesday night that I almost asked Melanie to take me to the hospital. Also on Monday, my flats ripped all the skin off the back of my heels and last night was the first time I’d put actual shoes on since then. They’re just aching in my sneakers right now.
  7. What song has affected you the most and why?
My Chemical Romance’s “Famous Last Words.” Oh fuck you, I know, that’s stupid emo kid shit, but look: I have the words “I am not afraid to keep on living” tattooed on my shoulder and this band and, in particular, this song, got me through was was probably the roughest part of my life. And something about a girl, too, but that story’s not for you.
  8. What is your favorite thing outside your window?
Sometimes we see owls fly across the back yard. That’s cool.
  9. If you were to create a painting inspired by your favorite song, what would be the three most prominent colors? (Please tell the name of the song too.)
Red + Black + White. FLW, obviously.
  10. What is the dirtiest you’ve ever been? How long did you stay dirty before you bathed?
Once when I was little, there was a huge pond being dug on my grandpa’s property. So of course we went out and played in the mud. Then we went back to the house and had to be hosed off.
  11. When was the last time you talked to a total stranger for more than 5 seconds and not for a business interaction (like buying a burrito)? Did you make a new friend?
Probably at the last concert I was at. And maybe? IDK. I doubt it.

Questions:

  1. What was your first fandom?
  2. What’s the one song that you’re super into right now and can’t get enough of?
  3. Who’s your Doctor? (Doctor Who, that is.)
  4. Backstreet Boys or NSync? Why?
  5. Do you look up recipes online? What’s your favorite recipe website?
  6. What’s the most potentially embarrassing television show you watch?
  7. What’s your go-to Starbucks drink?
  8. You’ve been driving in a car for 11 hours. What song comes up in the playlist that you, to the surprise of the person with you, know all the words to. (EX: I know all the RAP to Coolio’s “Gangsta’s Paradise.”)
  9. What’s a strange talent that you have that most people don’t know about?
  10. What three songs would you HAVE to put on a mixtape for that special someone?
  11. If you could get a tattoo anywhere on your body, what would it be and where would you get it?

hairlikecutgrass asked: "supernatural"

Supernatural: What is your deepest fear?

Fire. I don’t know why, but for years and years I was scared to death of things catching on fire/the house burning down and all kinds of crazy shit. It’s literally my worst nightmare.

Now I have a lot of dreams about Izzy being hurt/dying/her arms falling off (???) and that’s very upsetting for me.
